Our quality labor force is ready and eager to contribute to your company's success. Our workforce is trainable and open to new challenges.
Alabama's Industrial Development Training Institute offers customized, no-cost, pre-employment training programs for new and expanding industries. This program has proven itself as one of the nation's best in terms of training for low turnover and absenteeism (averages less than 2% of trainees hired). The local Northeast Alabama State Community College also has its own technical skills curriculum tailored to the current and ongoing demands of our area industries.
As for availability, new companies
moving into or beginning operations should expect no less than 10
applicants for every job. U. S. Gypsum received 25 to 1, or 4,000
applications, for their 160 initial job offerings.
As a Right to Work State, it is the public policy of Alabama that the right of persons to work shall not be denied or abridged on account of membership or non-membership in any labor union or labor organization.
